Well, it seems as if I've been on the road for most of April so far. I've had no time to really prepare an article this month, so I'd like to share some of my pictures from my travels.
After exploring Colorado and on our way to Wyoming to see the Tetons in (semi)winter, we took a "wrong turn", which turned out to be an awesome detour along some wonderful historical places.
We were heading over South Pass, and stopped along several historical markers along the Oregon Trail. What a pleasant and unexpected surprise for me to see the amazing sites, which left me with goosebumps and imagining my characters in those very places where countless brave pioneers traveled across the country.
After visiting the sites, it was on to the spectacular Tetons, which have often been the backdrop to my stories. My month of travel finished off at RT Book Lovers Convention in Las Vegas, followed by a final camping trip to beautiful Zion National Park. Enjoy the pictures!

Quite a road trip, Peggy. Loved all the pictures you took.
ReplyDeletePeggy, I almost got goosebumps looking at your photos of the historical Oregon Trail landmarks! Years ago hubby & I traveled past some of the same historical markers when at the time I was writing Trail To Destiny and it sure gave me the same feeling of elation to picture my characters on that trail. Thanks for your post!
ReplyDeletePeggy, I love the photo of the mountains at sunset. So lovely. thanks for your post.
