I had a quiet day with our oldest daughter and her family, my mother-in-law and two elderly couples who don't have family close by.

This holiday is bittersweet for me as we lost my mom at Thanksgiving 21 years ago. But gathering the family together was her favorite thing so the more the merrier for the holidays.

What a great photo of your family!Paty Jagerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03257614436422105729noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1822452633282744192.post-28211467050947866552011-11-24T17:58:50.671-06:002011-11-24T17:58:50.671-06:00Hi all, thanks for the welcome!

I do count my writing family as the best part of being an author. Writers make the best kind of friends and I am so thankful for being part of the unique and beautiful world of words and friends.

We don't have any grandchildren, but I make up for by find children-of-my-heart and along with these blessings come a few grandchildren as well. Our family is small, made smaller by the fact our eldest is not recovered fully from surgery and complications and can't be with us. That leaves only one daughter, my husband, and me. Our daughter is vegetrian and I don't like turkey. Hero is taking us to our favorite restaurant for dinner. Love your snow princess photo. I adore the photo--what a cute, catchy way to start a blog.
Mine call me Grandmother--I thought they should call me Mrs. Yeary, since I've been called that during my working years.
But they are far away, and none of us travel on holidays.
Your post was absolutely perfect...thanks for joining our little group here...we so appreciate it.
Happy Thanksgiving!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16272417114895975742noreply@blogger.com
