And I especially love seeing authors' "takes" on people we've learned about in history as real characters in fictional books.

Thanks for coming by Pat! Much appreciated! Unfortunately, there hasn't been enough time to read lately and there are so many good books out there.
I do like authors including real people and events in their stories. If done well it anchors the book in a time and place making it more "real." The historical background these characters and events bring to the story add a dimension that only the reader can bring. What is interesting, is every reader will bring something a little different to the story depending on their knowledge.
Thanks for an interesting post.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1822452633282744192.post-34245954751517562002016-10-29T22:20:30.124-05:002016-10-29T22:20:30.124-05:00Thanks to everyone who stopped by and read, left c...Thanks to everyone who stopped by and read, left comments, and just enjoyed the post!

My two winners are MAGGIE AND CAROLYN! We've got a lot of new books coming out--just had one yesterday from Karen Kay--SENECA SURRENDER--a wonderful Native American romance, and next week we'll be releasing a medieval boxed set, ONE WINTER KNIGHT, and the week after we'll release our western historical romance boxed set, A COWBOY UNDER THE MISTLETOE! Gosh, there are others, too--too many to mention. LOL

Thanks for stopping by, and I'll enter you in the drawing--that'll happen tomorrow night.
