My Mom left me all these old True West magazines and they are full of fun stories.Paisley Kirkpatrickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06401039126457210324noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1822452633282744192.post-895252687140551572012-12-03T21:01:25.900-06:002012-12-03T21:01:25.900-06:00Interesting story, Paisley. Interesting movie, although I don't know how much of it was factual. I think much of it was Hollywood-ized. I do think this incident should have been in the film. Would have been great! haha :)Ashley Kath-Bilskyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14073164133698225798noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1822452633282744192.post-74581781344925123732012-12-03T11:49:03.051-06:002012-12-03T11:49:03.051-06:00Hi Patricia, My Night Angel carried a knife. It was fun to use the blade instead of always a gun to get things taken care of in the name of the law.Paisley Kirkpatrickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06401039126457210324noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1822452633282744192.post-71526514542829118622012-12-03T11:45:37.821-06:002012-12-03T11:45:37.821-06:00Great story, Paisley! It used to be his job when he visited to sharpen my knives. True, the Bowie knife always come to mind in a western if an adversary or hero uses a knife. Even the kitchen ones...fortunately hubby love and does almost all of the cooking. But my Western heroines of course always have knives on hand. When I visited the Alamo, I so wanted to get hubby a Bowie for a souvenir, but just a tad more $$ than I wanted to spend LOL.Tanya Hansonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08580821680629254085noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1822452633282744192.post-11685606113163711862012-12-02T16:48:39.432-06:002012-12-02T16:48:39.432-06:00Thanks, Caroline. Surely that style knife was popular throughout the west. Louis L'Amour's heroes used that knife in many of his books.
